What’s the beginning of your story?
“Haniya and Badi started in a year of self-growth for each of us individually. After being introduced through friends, it was clear we were attracted to one another’s minds and wanted to see each other again. We were dating less than one month later and after only six weeks, we flew to Mexico over new years to get to know each other on what could either be a ‘make’ or ‘break’ trip. Needless to say, we fell in love and it has grown from these very moments. Three months later we were engaged and less than three months after that, we were married. The only way to describe our growing love was that it just felt ‘easy’. When you know, you know. The right person comes along and it really just flows.
The Dress
“I could talk about this dress forever! My dress is the one and only Galia Lahav Rhiannon dress that comes embellished with intricate beading all throughout the dress. I fell in love with the dress the longer I had it on in the boutique. The draping of the pearls along the back of the dress made me love the videos of us walking with our backs to the cameras just as much as the front-on ones. ”
What were your reasons for choosing Redleaf & your suppliers, what drew you in, made you vision your celebrations there?
“Redleaf is undisputed in its elegance and classic luxury. We initially wanted to fly our immediate family to Italy but with some family members being unfit to travel the distance, we locked in the perfect venue and on a public holiday, too. The vision of an outdoor candlelit wedding was always appealing and our event planner Angie Marie nailed the brief to perfection!”
Best advice?
Go with your gut and choose the people you instantly connect with. These moments can be the most stressful times (if you allow it), but if you have the right people, it can be a breeze. We would choose you guys again and again if we could relive our day once more.”

“There is something so emotive about the way Moon & Back capture the little things – the small moments. There was no discussion needed in choosing who would capture our special day because we had seen all the great work your team had done on other wedding days. Your team makes everything look so candid and natural, like a set of eyes that gets to peep into the most special day of your life. We rewatch our video regularly and are still in awe.
We couldn’t wait to see how those intimate ‘small’ moments would be captured. There was one moment where the fairy lights had just come on and Badi and I were looking at our guests mingling in the sunset and it was utter magic. I couldn’t wait to see that as well as our walk towards golden hour as we joked and laughed.”
