Tuscany Wedding Cinematographer
We are Moon & Back — a team of international wedding filmmakers who have been filming destination weddings for over a decade. Tuscany is one of our most beloved regions in all of Italy. The light, the architecture, the landscape, it gives a wedding film a quality that is very difficult to replicate anywhere else on earth.
Why is Tuscany A Wedding Filmmakers Dream? The Venues…
Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco is one of the finest wedding venues in all of Italy. Founded by the Ferragamo family and set within a UNESCO World Heritage site, the estate encompasses working vineyards, an eleventh-century castle, and some of the most extraordinary grounds in Tuscany. We filmed Emily and Brice’s wedding here — their ceremony took place among castle ruins dating to 1100 AD, followed by a reception at Villa Gauggiole beneath laser-cut wood chandeliers. The film was featured in Over The Moon magazine. And you can see their film page here.
Borgo di Vignamaggio is a historic wine estate in the heart of Chianti, with origins in the fifteenth century. Legend holds that the Mona Lisa was born here. The estate’s natural drama, cypress drives, stone terraces, the vine-covered hillsides — makes for extraordinary footage at every hour of the day. One of our most cherished weddings we filmed was Caelan and Robert’s multi-day destination event.
Beyond these, we have filmed at private villas & estates, converted monasteries, and hilltop farmhouses across Umbria, Siena, Lucca, and the Val d’Orcia. You can watch more of our films from Tuscany here.
What to expect from your Tuscany wedding film
We move through your wedding day with quiet, unhurried presence. We are never in the way. We do not direct you or your guests. We watch, we listen, and we wait for the moments that reveal who you are. Those are the moments that make a film worth watching decades from now.
For Tuscany weddings, we typically film from the preparation in the morning through to the late evening reception, capturing the full arc of the day and, for multi-day celebrations, the weekend surrounding it, whether that be the welcome event, rehearsal, or post wedding recovery party. The final film is the story of your wedding weekend, interwoven with our signature Moon & Back editing style.
Now taking enquiries for late 2026 and 2027
Tuscany’s peak wedding season — May through October — books far in advance, and the finest estates have dates that fill over a year ahead. If you are planning a Tuscany wedding for 2027, we would recommend reaching out as early as possible.
We are happy to connect before you have finalized any details. Many of the best conversations we have had with couples have been early in the planning process, when there is still time to shape things.
Collaborating with Tuscany’s finest planners
We have worked alongside many of Italy’s most celebrated wedding planners, including The Lake Como Wedding Planner for weddings across Northern Italy.
If you are working with a planner for your Tuscany wedding, we are happy to connect with them directly. We have worked within complex, multi-vendor event structures many times, and we know how to be a team player in such a special time in your life.
