Destination Weddings: North America

North America is a continent of striking contrasts, from rugged mountains and dense forests to sprawling deserts and sunlit coastlines. In the north, icy landscapes glow under the aurora borealis, while further south, golden plains stretch toward dramatic canyons and winding rivers.  Along the coasts, cliffs drop into the sea, giving way to hidden beaches and peaceful coves. Beyond its natural beauty, North America is a blend of old and new, where historic towns sit alongside modern cities buzzing with life. Vineyards, meadows, and remote islands offer quiet escapes, while lively cultural hubs celebrate art, music, and diverse flavors.

    Ray & Janny

From High School Friends to TikTok Sweethearts: Ray & Janny’s Fairytale Wedding Featured in VOGUE. Before they became TikTok’s beloved couple @RayandJanny, Raymond Zhao and Janet Kim were just two high schoolers in Long Island, sharing casual “not-dates” to NYC museums and dessert cafés. But in 2020, Ray finally confessed his feelings—just as Janny was about to move to Korea. Their love story unfolded across continents, from a fateful trip to Seoul during the pandemic to a picture-perfect proposal in Aruba. Along the way, their TikTok took off, charming millions with glimpses of Korea’s couple culture and their romance. For their wedding, Ray and Janny chose the enchanting Oheka Castle, bringing a European touch to their hometown celebration. Honoring their Korean and Chinese heritage, they incorporated traditional ceremonies, elegant hanboks, and custom-designed qipaos. Janny stunned in four different looks, including a dramatic Ines Di Santo ballgown, while Ray kept it dapper in Dior and Tom Ford. Their reception featured ballet performances, a serenade from Ray, and a glamorous transformation into a Milan-inspired supper club. After a whirlwind wedding, they skipped the honeymoon—opting instead for a “buddy-moon” in the Hamptons with close friends. Now, with their TikTok-famous romance stronger than ever, Janny says, “There’s more compassion and love.” A dream wedding, a viral love story, and a happily ever after.

    Alexa & Sam

Alexa and Sam’s wedding featured a modern Boheme tent set in the middle of a cornfield by the marshes in Westerly, Rhode Island, perfectly reflecting their personal style. Every detail was meticulously curated, from the chartreuse-trimmed draping by @drapeartdesigns to the pine-colored tent pole planters by @jlandry_co. The design elements tied seamlessly together, with stunning menus by @gusandrubyletterpress and florals complementing the breathtaking @theonicollection linens. The overall effect was a captivating and immersive experience, bringing their vision to life in an unforgettable way. Blending new Boheme influences with nods to the Bowery Hotel, a favorite of the couple, the aesthetic was both bold and romantic. The striking color palette of chartreuse, marigold, buttercup, lavender, lilac, soft coastal blue, and teal created an August dreamscape. The wedding design felt effortlessly chic, with every detail working harmoniously to evoke a warm, stylish, and memorable celebration in the heart of Rhode Island.

    Lucie & Lalo

From the moment Lucie Lott first saw Eladio “Lalo” Fabregas at Samford University, she felt certain he was the one. Their connection was instant—after spotting him outside the cafeteria, she found his name on the tennis team roster and messaged him that same day. Their first date, filled with ice cream and stargazing, marked the beginning of an inseparable bond. They spent their days studying, working out, and sharing their dreams, with Lucie eventually moving to California as Lalo pursued a career in finance. Their love spanned continents, with cherished visits to each other’s families—Lucie introducing Lalo to summers in Florida and Lalo welcoming her into his Spanish heritage. In 2023, he proposed at a chapel in Spain, presenting her with a stunning diamond ring. Two weeks later, they wed at Augustus Hill, Lucie’s family estate, in a celebration that blended their cultures. She arrived in a horse-drawn carriage in an elegant lace gown, while Lalo wore a tailored morning suit. Guests enjoyed a feast of Kentucky beef and Spanish paella before dancing the night away at an Ibiza-inspired party, a perfect reflection of their love story

    Corey & Brian

Corey and Brian’s wedding in Westhampton Beach was a seamless blend of beachside romance and Hamptons elegance, set at Corey’s grandparents’ waterfront home. The ceremony took place by the water under a birch chuppah adorned with flowing white fabric and lush blue and white florals, with guests tossing rose petals from monogrammed cones. Following the vows, cocktails were served by the pool before transitioning into a tented reception that enhanced the property’s natural beauty with soft lighting, florals, and personalized details. Their color palette of Hamptons blue, ivory, peach, and green was woven throughout the event, from custom stationery featuring an illustration of the home to floral arrangements and table settings. • Middleburg | Glenstone Gardens

    Meghan & Jackson

The couple didn’t have a specific venue in mind but had a clear vision—an elevated backyard dinner party in a breathtaking setting, with an emphasis on lush florals and a 2024 date. “All the credit for Middleburg, Glenstone Gardens, and the Red Fox Inn goes to Calder Clark,” Meghan shares. “We hired Calder after falling in love with her exquisitely designed Montana wedding on Over The Moon.” For the aesthetic, Meghan found inspiration in past Over The Moon weddings. “I remember Jenna Killian, another OTM bride, describing her wedding as ‘steeped in tradition but full of whimsy.’ Hi Jenna—I don’t know you, but I adore your words!” she laughs. “I shared them with my mom, Calder, and her team, and that sentiment became the guiding thread of our weekend.” Another OTM wedding that captured Meghan’s imagination? Carter and Joe Perella’s celebration in Middleburg. “I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this place looks absolutely magical.’”
