Planning a wedding from the other side of the world is no easy undertaking, but for Abbigale and BJ, returning to Victoria to celebrate with family and friends was always the plan.
With demanding careers in London, they entrusted the planning to BJ’s family owned The Big Group, allowing every detail to unfold seamlessly while they focused on creating an experience that felt authentic to them.
The ceremony took place at the Keebaugh family property in Main Ridge, beneath a magnificent canopy of pine trees that has long held significance in the couple’s story. More than simply a picturesque setting, it was the place where their relationship first began.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered for an unforgettable reception by chef Simone Watts of Barragunda Dining. Set against the backdrop of rolling countryside, a rustic barn, tranquil lake and distant ocean views, the celebration embraced the quiet beauty of the Mornington Peninsula.
Rather than following trends, Abbigale and BJ envisioned a celebration that would feel timeless.
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, the design centred on an ethereal garden aesthetic where soft textures and natural elements took precedence. Delicate Queen Anne’s lace, cultivated especially for the occasion by celebrated floral architect Joost Bakker, flowed throughout the ceremony and reception, bringing an understated romance that felt as though it had grown naturally from the landscape itself.
Every detail worked in harmony with the setting, allowing the beauty of the property to remain the focal point.
Abbigale’s bridal style echoed the refined simplicity of the day.
She chose the Salvatora gown by Milla Nova, its intricate floral lace reflecting the textures of the surrounding gardens and pine forest. A matching lace mantilla veil completed the look, adding softness and quiet drama as she walked beneath the towering trees.
Her jewellery remained intentionally understated—a pear diamond necklace paired with matching pear drop earrings in white gold—bringing a subtle brilliance that perfectly complemented, rather than competed with, the gown.
Hair and makeup embraced modern elegance. Glowing, luminous skin inspired by Charlotte Tilbury’s signature aesthetic was paired with a sleek low bun and softly framing pieces, creating a look that felt polished, timeless and entirely effortless.
